Movie Suggestions

Megamind (2010) is a funny and twists away from the cliche hero type movie.

THOR (2011) is a good one also, even if your not into the whole marvel superhero scene, you can still have a good time watching it.

Green Lantern (2011) is also a really good superhero flick which can get confused with Green Hornet (2011) which is an ok movie but more of one of those movies that you only want watch once.

Hanna (2011) is a compelling story that is new and not like one of the stories (or versions of it) that are retold over and over, in different ways. It is a bit gory and swears a couple times but other than that its a pretty well done movie.

Limitless (2011) - a bit violent and swears a bit but is an interesting movie.

Soul Surfer (2011) - True Story is very compelling.

Tangled (2010) - a good, funny movie for the whole family to enjoy.

The Rundown (2003) - simply hilarious! But expect violence and a bit of swearing.

Those looking for Halloween movies could watch the classic Hocus Pocus (1993) and Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), or other good ones are Darkness Falls (2003), Coraline (2009), and The Ward (2010) - which is compelling and has a surprising ending.

April General Conference 2010!

So excited for this weekends oppurtunity to listen to the prophets and leaders, I love the feeling you you get when you listen to the Lord's Servants and their messages!

LDS General Conferences

I love listening to general conferences, the talks given and songs sung bring such a feeling of the spirit and love. Thomas S. Monson and Jeffery R. Holland are two of my favorite speakers. I love the stories and love that Monson shares. Holland has such a boldness, I love the way he makes the points of the gospel completely black and white, nothing gray. He says what is right and what is wrong and exactly how we should live to become close to the Savior. There are talks for everyone and every different kind of trial that we may be going through. Amazing Cookies

I found this amazing cookie recipe from betty crocker. The first time I tried it my husband and I fell in love with it. They are called 'Browned Butter Cookies with Caramel Frosting'

Here's the recipe, I defiantly suggest that you try it!

Cookies:

1 cup butter (don't use margarine)

2 cups packe brown sugar

1/2 cup milk

2 eggs

3 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

Caramel Frosting:

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup milk

2 cups powdered sugar

1.Heat oven to 350 degrees. In small sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until butter is light brown. Cool for about 10 minutes.

2. In large bowl, mix browned butter, brown sugar, milk and eggs with spoon. Stir in flour baking soda and salt with electric mixer (if you have one, if not thats fine). Use tablespoon to drop cookies 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

3. Bake cookies 7 - 8 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched in center. Cool for about 30 minutes.

4. While cookies are cooling, in Medium to Large sauce pan melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat. When melted stir in brown sugar. Heat to boiling, stir constantly. Stir in milk and heat to boiling; Remove from heat. Cool for about 30 minutes then gradually stir in powdered sugar. Spread Caramel Frosting on cookies. Then enjoy the heavenly cookies.
